Golden Toads used to live in the forests of Costa Rica. Unfortunately they haven't been seen for years now and are believed to be extinct

Though it's said they are extinct. I wouldn't be surprised if a few of these turned out to be alive in areas no humans been to.
A Lizard called La Gomera Giant Lizard was believed to be extinct until be rediscovered in 1999 or somewhat still alive. It's only a matter of time if some of these show up. Believe me. Many animals thought to be extinct have been discovered to be alive. So I this wouldn't surprise me.
